This charity PUPdate is all about balance. How do we as a community do as much as PAWsible for doggos in need while ensuring that we’re providing thoughtful service to the rescue partners we work with?
It takes organization, active participation, and most importantly…dedication.
Here's a brief update on the projects we have in the works:
Project BARKyard is off to the races! We’re working to find a local landscaper to install the groundcover for the project. Our goal is to get everything contracted by early April to install in May.
We’ve selected the playground equipment and are so excited to be working with Terrabound Solutions; an agility course manufacturer that creates weatherproof equipment out of recycled materials. We feel that it will be a sustainable long-term solution for Mission Valley Animal Shelter’s doggo meet and greet area!
Our partnership with The Animal Pad in San Diego is just beginning, and we couldn’t be more thrilled.
We’ve sent them a case of Dr. Doggo supplements to their facility to welcome them to our pack. They’ll get everything from hip and joint chews, allergy relief supplements, and digestion chews for the doggos in their care.
Our Hero Club is sponsoring a mission down to Baja California, Mexico this spring! We Love Doggos Charity, in partnership with The Animal Pad, will vaccinate 250 doggos and give them a better chance for a safe and healthy life ahead.
Tobacco Valley Animal Shelter:
The We Love Doggos executive director, Terry Williamson, visited out 2023 Mission PAWsible Award Winners this past week.
The shelter is called Tobacco Valley Animal Shelter and we’ve supported them on a smaller scale in the past; we’ve waived doggo adoption fees, fulfilled wish list items, and vaccinated puppies in their care.
Now, our community is ALL IN on providing them with resources to help their facility thrive. To get the ball rolling, we’ll be sponsoring their February Silent Auction!
As always, The Underdog Railroad is working tirelessly with their volunteers to transport dogs from high-risk shelters to no-kill’s in the northwestern region of the United States.
We’re providing them with a monthly sponsorship to ensure that they are spending less time fundraising for these transports and more time saving doggos!
There is so much more we could share about inner workings of our charity initiatives, but we hope this provided you with an overview of what’s going on behind the scenes. We’ll keep you up to date as these projects progress!
The Hero Club is a special place where customers and community members participate in helping us save Doggos in need!
