Weekly Charity PUPdate - May Week 3

Greetings Doggo Lovers,

This PUPdate, I’ve got a story to make you smile from ear to ear! Let me tell you about a friend of ours, Bathroom Billy. Bathroom Bill was a shelter dog that we met in Ensenada, Mexico.

When our Executive Director, Terry and I went to vaccinate street dogs in PAWrtnership with the amazing non-profit Los Adoptables, we took a tour of their facility and got to know a lot of the dogs in their care.

When I went to the bathroom, I noticed when I sat at the toilet a golden brown, fluffy ball to my left. There was a dog living in the bathroom with no care in the world!

This dog is Bathroom Bill. Two months have gone by since I saw the scruffy buddy snuggling up with the toilet bowl; he has been moved from Mexico into the care of our affiliate shelter partners in San Diego, The Animal Pad.

Bathroom Bill is looking for his FURever home and is out of harm's way and safe with volunteers that are willing to go the extra mile to make sure that he feels comfortable in and out of the lavatory.

Since Bathroom Bill moved to the United States, he’s emerged from the bathroom just a few times, but this gives us hope that he will come out of his shell soon enough.

It is his comfort zone; the staff at The Animal Pad says that they’re “manifesting marble flooring” in his future residence.

But honestly, we think Bill will do just fine so long as there’s love and support along the way. We will keep you updated as Bathroom Bill progresses. Sometimes the small steps are all it takes to make the greatest leap into a bright future.
