In partnership with The Underdog Railroad, we work alongside dedicated rescue teams to pick up at-risk dogs from Northern California shelters and transport them to safety. Whether it’s a loving foster home, a no-kill rescue, or a forever family waiting with open arms, every mile we travel brings these dogs closer to the life they deserve.
A Freedom Ride is a life-saving transport mission that rescues dogs from kill shelters and delivers them to foster homes, no-kill rescues, and forever families. Partnering with The Underdog Railroad, we travel across hundreds—sometimes thousands—of miles to give dogs the fresh start they deserve.
Our Freedom Van, fully funded by the Dog Rescue Heroes Club, is always on the move, picking up at-risk dogs and bringing them to a brighter future. Every trip is a race against time, and every mile makes a difference.
Without these critical transports, many of these dogs would face euthanasia simply due to overcrowding. But with each Freedom Ride, we’re proving that compassion knows no distance. From the moment a dog is loaded into the van, their journey to a better life begins. They feel their first sense of safety, their first warm blanket, and for some, their first taste of kindness. And when they arrive at their destination—whether it’s a foster home, a rescue, or a forever family—they finally get what every dog deserves: a second chance at life.
