At We Love Doggos, we believe every dog deserves a safe, warm place to call home. That’s why we created Heroes Village, a life-changing project designed to provide shelter, security, and love for rescue dogs in need. Located at Dulce Vida Rescue in Tijuana, Mexico, this growing sanctuary is a direct result of the dedication and generosity of the Dog Rescue Heroes Club and our incredible Packo community.

From the very first structure to the latest expansion, Heroes Village is proof that together, we can build a better world for dogs—one home at a time.

Home For The Holidays: The Project That Started It All

Heroes Village was born during our Home for the Holidays campaign (Hogar Para Las Fiestas), a heartwarming mission to ensure that no dog at Dulce Vida Rescue had to spend another Christmas cold, scared, or alone.

We started with one giant doghouse, fully stocked with cozy crates, warm blankets, stuffed toys, sweaters, and even festive Christmas lights—transforming a harsh outdoor environment into a place of comfort and care.

This first build wasn’t just a shelter; it was a promise—a commitment to continue expanding Heroes Village until every dog at Dulce Vida Rescue had a roof over their head and hope in their heart.

Building For The Future: Heroes Village Expands

The success of the first doghouse was just the beginning. As we grew, so did our mission. Today, we’re working on Doghouse #2, a special structure designed for a very special group of dogs—The Troublemakers. These dogs, while loving and deserving, can’t safely live in the general population due to behavioral challenges. They need a dedicated space, and that’s exactly what we’re building.

This expansion goes beyond just providing shelter—it includes funding for professional training to help these dogs become adoptable and ready for forever homes. Because at We Love Doggos, we don’t just rescue—we rehabilitate and rehome.
